Title: Searching for Cowie's from Peterhead
Post by: heathpete on Wednesday 24 December 08 05:12 GMT (UK)
I'm looking for information on my Great Grandmother's family. Ann Cowie born 27 July 1874 to Alexander Cowie and Jane Morrison in Peterhead, Aberdeen. I looked through all the posts and didn't see any Cowie's present. It is also mentioned that Ann { Annie} was from MacDuff / Banff.
                                  Thanks, Heather Jack

What specifically are you looking for Heather?

On IGI, there are a number of possible siblings.

You've obviously done a bit of research, but where are you stuck?

Dave

Nice one kenjo!

Still need Heather to tell us what we are trying to find.

Otherwise, we'll be duplicating her own research (and each others)

Dave

Amended ......Sorry Heather, reading too many different posts.  Dave.

    Hi Dave,
Sorry I'm a bit slow on the uptake. I've been on night duty and it does terrible things to the brain cells.
You mentioned Janet Farquhar and Lucilia Smith. Is Smith Jane's maiden name or is it Lucilia's?
             Thank you. Heather

  Sorry Dave,
I did mention that night duty isn't good for the brain. Please forget last question... I've worked it out.
              Jane {Morrison} Cowie's mother = Lucilia Smith.
                Don't I feel foolish.
