Does anyone have any information on richard embrey, miller, and his wife ellen pryce? They were living in Berriew when their son edward was born in 1854. I can only find a richard embrey married to an Eleanor.

Dont mean to step on our Jan's toe's but I came across these on the 1851 Census...
Living at Brithdir Mill, Berriew, Montgomeryshire.
Richard Embrey, h, m, 25, miller, born at Berriew, MGY.
Elenor Embrey, w, m, 28, born at Churchstoke, MGY.
Elenor Embrey, d, , 1, born at Berriew, MGY.
Richard Embrey, s, , 2m, born at Berriew, MGY.
No doubt Jan can fill you in more with 1861.

I've also found Richard and Eleanor Embrey. According to Edward Embrey's birth cert., his parents were Richard and Ellen, living at Filendre(?) Mill, Berriew in 1854.

Its would seem apparent it's the right family.
Just a different interpretation of the spelling of Ellenor on different documents.

Anyway, I'm back now and just off to have a look at 1861 for Richard and Ellen/Eleanor.

Re Parish Records Richjard was baptised 30 Oct 1825 son of Edward (Labourer)and Margaret. Their address was Brittdir, Berriew.

Edward had sister Bridget baptised 30 March 1828. ref Mont Parish Records

26 Sept 1819 Edward Embrey son of Edward and Margaret Embrey was baptised. Parents living at Garthmill, Berriew. Occupation Miller. Same parent info for Elizabeth Embrey baptised 27 Oct 1822. Also possibly an illegitimate son Cornelius mother Martha Wilson baprtised Nov 25 1827, father Edward Embrey., miller, Ffrydd, Berriew.
