I am starting to research my family. Family records show Andrew Oliver, b. abt 1740, d. 1819 buried Linton Kirk Yard, m. Elspeth Brown, b. abt 1744, d. 1828 buried Linton Kirk Yard. He worked and died at Yetholm Mains. They had two sons. William Oliver b. unknown, immigrated to New York before 1818. Thomas Oliver, b. Nov. 1787 at Halfland House, 1/2 mile from Kirk Yetholm, m. Sinclair Buckham, b. Aug. 1793 in Lustruther, Southdean Parish, m. in Maxton Aug 1816. Lived in Sandy Knoll near Smailholm until they moved to Auchope, (near Sourhope) Morebattle Parish in 1818 where they lived until 1830 when they imm. to NY. Thomas and his family were Shepperd's.
Any help anyone can give me will be appreciated as I have hit a brick wall in Scotland.
