I am researching ancestors with names -

McRae
Addie
Lyon
Gordon
Patterson
Dow

All in Fordyce/Lintmill/Cullen/Portsoy areas.
If anyone has links with these names in these areas I would be pleased to hear.

Alexander Lyon married Helen Wilson both born beginning of 1800s

I have Lyons in my tree also, including Jane Lyon from Alvah in the 1840s.  Any possible links?

Well Alvah is in Banff so there may well be a connection
Have you checked Jane in the 1841 census?
