Title: Evacuees
Post by: cazp on Tuesday 20 April 04 18:41 BST (UK)
Does anybody know if there was ever a register or other document made as to where individual children were evacuated to during the second world war from London.
If there was one, where is it kept and is it searchable.
Many thanks
Caroline

Hello Caroline,

I cannot answer your question, but, just a thought, have a look at The Wartime Memories Project at  http://www.wartimememories.co.uk/ (http://www.wartimememories.co.uk/) , in particular the sections:-

Index of Memories

&

Message Board.   (You might want to ask the same question there )

Sadly it does not have a search facility but you might  find something of interest?

No promise.
