Thanks Peter
My grandparents, on my mothers side, both died when I was very young, I was born at Cambois 1948. So my memories of them are about zero. So it was the late 40s or early 50s when they both passed on. The street where they lived was called Bridge Street. My grandfather served in the navy in WW1 and I know he was in the Battle of Jutland. He received a medal for that which one of my sisters girls has.
Many Many thanks for your quick Response

John,
For Census purposes, in 1800s, Cambois was rtegarded as part of Bedlington.
Bridge Street is one of the main streets of Blyth.
Distance from Blyth to Cambois for a crow is about three quarters of a mile. Same distance when the chain ferry took you across the River Blyth> But now, by road about 5 miles.
I would suggest that from the list posted by Peter, that you should be interested in the Charles, born in Morpeth and living in "Bedlington", and maybe the Scottish-born Charles, also living in Bedlington.
The Bedlington in census terms covers Bedlington, Bedlington Station,Sleekburn, Cambois etc.

I know that this post is from quite awhile ago, so a shot in the dark .....
My Robson family also lived in 7 Bridge Street. My Grandfather was born at number 29 in 1915
I have a James Robson who Married Annie Young so wonder if we have a connection?
I'm told there is also a connection to the famous Flora Macdonald on this side but I'm yet to find it.
