Title: Another for a keen eye! - COMPLETED
Post by: reebrov on Thursday 19 February 09 21:17 GMT (UK)
The top word here alludes me...it is the cause of death of a 7yr old in 1901.  The next line reads dropsey and exhaustion if that helps.

I thought it might be phthisis......any disease causing a wasting away of part or all of the body, especially tuberculosis; consumption.

Oh Mab,

I think you could be right. There are two dots, indicating the letter i but couldn't work out why. That makes much more sense than Pertussis.
