Hello there,
I found the place of death of my 2x G Grandmother as 837 Crookston Road. She died in 1941. Her usual address was Smith Street. I wonder if she was in the poorhouse or the later old age home. If then why her Smith street as her usual address???
Can anyone help me out here?

A poorhouse often incorporated a hospital, so perhaps she had just been taken into hospital not very long before she died?

The main Hospital and Asylum was Leverndale on Crookston Road but 837 would be Crookston Care Home nearer the Barrhead Road. My wife had a relative who died there but doesn't remember who it was, somebody her mother told her about when we were visiting her Aunt in Leverndale Hospital.
