Could someone assist me in finding more details of
William Black born 1815 Newtown Armagh County Antrim
and
Eliza Jane Clark born 1818 Armagh
They were married in Trimivallen 1829.
They had 9 children and then migrated Sept 1862 "chatsworth" to Moreton Bay, Australia
Really trying to find parents and in particular something about their births.

Hope you are still contactable, We have been searching high & low for any info on Maria Black. Maria Black sailed to Australia in 1873.Maria was born abt 1852.Armagh.Her parents were William Black & Eliza Jane Clarke. This Maria Black may be of the family you are researching. Regards Jo

Many thanks for your reply. Your message boards have helped us establish some of the history of MARIA BLACK. It is most likely Maria Black is a daughter of William Black & Eliza Jane Clark.
Maria Black. Birth:abt 1857,Armagh.Marriage: marriage certificate 1881/B/7284 Qld. To John Thomson.Maria's parent's are stated as being William Black & Eliza Jane Clarke. A witness to the marriage is Susan Black (mostly likely her sister).The couple had two children:1882,Ethel Jane Thomson.1886,Louisa Thomson.Maria's husband John Thomson, Died, Qld 1886 Their daughter, Louisa, Died,Qld 1890.No further info regarding Ethel Jane Thomson.
Maria Thomson (Black) remarried in Qld 1890 to Henry Lloyd.No marriage certificate.
The marriage is stated on the NSW birth certificate for their child,Arthur Lloyd. They lived in Sydney, NSW. We have been unable to find any further information on Henry Lloyd or Maria Black.
From your message boards it seems you are a descendent of Robert Black. There is a very informative biography relating to Robert Black on the Wiki Tree site.
This info is researched by the great grand daughter of Maria Black & myself. Sydney NSW.

Jo This is indeed the William Black & Eliza Jane Clark family I have. I have both their death certificates and the family Mary B 1841 M James Brown :::William Samuel B 1844 ::: Agnus B 1845 ::::John Alexander B 1848 M Lucinda Lavinia Myles ::: Margaret B 1853 ::: our Robert B 1853 M Caroline Drake :::your Maria B 1857 (nothing on her at all): Joseph B 1859 M Maria Margaret Browning : Susan B 1861 (who you said witnessed the marriage of Maria - how lovely): Thomas B 1862 and died 1862 along with his MUM.
Eliza Jane Black boarded the Chatsworth 11th April 1862 - just pregnant for a 4 months boat trip morning sickness, looking after 3 under 5 children on a very small ship (and I read there was a measles outbreak on board with many loss of lives) arriving in Brisbane 6th August --moving the family to accommodation at Fortitude Valley Brisbane central, what medical assistance did she have, and then losing her precious baby, Thomas on 10th January, 1863 and herself. Cannot imagine the thoughts going through her head! I have more but that's it for today.
