I cant see him on the IGI under Ruswarp but from 1837 Lythe was a sub district of Whitby and there is this one extracted record :-\
George Fletcher 14.1.1805 Lythe, Yorkshire.
father Greorge.... mother Hannah.
Searching the online IGI plus or minus 5 years there is no George Fletcher baptised in Whitby showing :( but that does not mean to say the one I found is correct

Hello again
This lookslike his Marriage on IGI

from the spa booking office down skinner st across to the railway (fishburn park) anything to the right of them was classed as ruswarp (its actually whitby) everything to the left was classed as whitby. so though it says ruswarp its actually whitby unless ruswarp village is stated.

Hi All,
Many thanks for helping me out with the Fletcher family, everyone seems to have the correct George except patrish, but I do not know if he was born in Ruswarp, his mother & father might have moved from somewhere else to that area??? Does anyone know if there is any living relatives still around the Whitby area? I would look myself but I now live in Scotland. Many thanks to all so far for all your help. I will leave this open for a while yet to see if more information is forthcoming.
Regards to all
Mike
