Title: RAF Service Record - Identifying Units

Hi All,
    I am after some help please in identifying a couple of units on my Grandfathers RAF service record that i recently obtained. Attached is an extract showing the units he was with. So far i have the following, but the ones in bold i have not fully identified:

P.S. Does that last column on the Image mean that he was occupying Married Quarters ?

17 (P) AFU and 11 (P) AFU -

The expansion of AFU is Advanced Flying Unit

54 MU is 54 Maintenance Unit

Could 241 xxxx possibly be 241 Squadron?

I should have added that the (P) in xx (P) AFU is Pilots'

241 Sd. possibly Squadron? As suggested earlier.

However, Squadron is usually abbreviated Sqn or Sq. Sometimes Sqd.

Mark
