Hi All,
I am after some help please in identifying a couple of units on my Grandfathers RAF service record that i recently obtained. Attached is an extract showing the units he was with. So far i have the following, but the ones in bold i have not fully identified:

- 2 S of TT - No.2 School of Technical Training RAF Cosford
- 241 Sd. - I have no idea on this one, i am especially interested in this one as he was only there for 8 days !!!
- No.17 (P) A.F.U - RAF Watton & later RAF Calveley
- No.11 (P) A.F.U - RAF Calveley
- 2 A.A.P.C - Anti-Aircraft Practice Camp, but i have not been able to find a location for this
- 54 MU - RAF Newmarket
- 100 ?? - I just can't make this one out.
Thanks Richard
P.S. Does that last column on the Image mean that he was occupying Married Quarters ?

No. 2 Anti-Aircraft Practice Camp would be RAF Langham, North Norfolk UK.
I am building a website for RAF Langham <<<<<<<<<<< Google it.
My email is on the site!

17 (P) AFU and 11 (P) AFU -
The expansion of AFU is Advanced Flying Unit
54 MU is 54 Maintenance Unit
Could 241 xxxx possibly be 241 Squadron?
-
Thanks Mike

I should have added that the (P) in xx (P) AFU is Pilots'

Hi Rsel,
Looks like you got most of your answers. Just thought I would mention that there is a Facebook page for RAF Calvleley as I notice it appears in your Grandfather's log. I think it can be accessed without a login.

241 Sd. possibly Squadron? As suggested earlier.
However, Squadron is usually abbreviated Sqn or Sq. Sometimes Sqd.
