Hello there and welcome to rootschat
you will see they are at Centennial Park

Thank you so much for that, I have been searching for this information for a long time. I am also looking for another relation called Albert James Aspland (son of above) who died around 1992/3.
If there is any further information on any of these Asplands I would be so grateful.

ASPLAND is not a commonly occurring name in South Australia and along with the above cremation records at Centennial Park there is this record -
http://www.centennialpark.org/burial_memorial_search/
ASPLAND John Adrian of Hawthorndene
Date of death 17 Sep 1989
Age 51 Years
Interment Details Cremation
There is a database of newspaper [death] announcements on the South Australian Genealogy and Heraldry Society's website and I don't see an announcement for an Albert James ASPLAND, the son. However he may have died in another State of Australia.

Thank you for your help. I don't think that this other person is a member of the family I am looking for, but thank you for the link to Newspapers.

Another good sources when looking for deaths is the Ryerson Index, I noted 12 deaths listed on it

Thank you so much for all your help. I have checked the Ryerson Index, but don't recognise any of the names on there. But the info you gave me yesterday was brilliant after 2 years of trying to find what had happened to my husband's parents is now solved - thanks to you. His whole family emigrated to Australia in 1960's and he never really knew when or where they all died, so you have made him a very happy man. Keep up the good work you are so helpful to people like us who live a long way away and don't know the best places to look. Cheers from sunny Spain ;)

We are glad to have helped him, sad that he didn't know where they died.

You can see his arrival on the NAA site
search as Guest list him and his familiy arrival, I won't list their names as the children may still be living.

Hi there, lovely to hear from you. Yes my husband John is your grandads twin brother and he remembers Alan and Dawn well. Your gran was Sylvia. Your grandad did visit from Australia bringing Dawn with him back around the late 70's. I am John's second wife, we've been married for 31 years. John doesn't have any children but is a step dad, grandad and great grandad.
He is so pleased to hear from you as he lost touch with the family and despite a lot of research when I started doing his family tree it was through this website that I found out when and where his mum, dad and Brother had died.
Would love to keep in touch with you if that's ok
Best wishes Ann & John
