I'm trying to find information on the Hutton side of my family. 

Walter Ernest Hutton was a Merchant Seaman, listed as Marine Fireman M.S on his marriage certificate.

He married  Caroline Davies Welsher in Newport in June 1916.  They lived at 99 Baldwin Street.

I'm told he was originally from Norway.  I cannot find any more infromation other than his marriage certiciate in the UK.

Walter was 29 at the age of his marriage in 1916.  Fatheres name was Philip Hutton and occupation listed is 'of independent means'

There is certainly no English or Welsh birth reg around 1886-1888 or 1891/1901 entry that fits his profile

I have also checked for a Philip Hutton death pre-1891 but no luck

It's looking more likely that he was born abroad
