Title: 1891 census

In the 1901 census I have an adopted son living with my greatgrandmother  Mary Morgan in Trefforest. The adopted son is named Robert Roberts aged 18 and born Ystrad. Need an extra pair of eyes , as I have failed to locate Robert in 1891 census. Also in the 1890's were children legally adopted or just looked after by an extended family member. Any help appreciated. Eirwen.

Hi Morgan. What I found was the marriage of Robert Roberts to Alice Maud Price in1915. From this information I hoped to find the father of Robert Roberts and then look in the 1891 census . But there was no father mentioned in the marriage certificate for Robert Roberts , so at this moment have not had a search for Robert.. Am thinking along the lines that Robert might be the child of one of the siblings of William or Mary Morgan [Richards]. But have no idea how to go down this route.Eirwen.

1863-91 Ystradyfodwg was covered by Pontypridd registration distict.

The only Robert Roberts birth in Pontypridd district 1880-85 is:
Birth of Robert Ellis Roberts in 1884 (Dec Q)
Pontypridd 11a 390
