Title: Lerwick Parish Register RODGER

I am trying to find the birth of John RODGER born in 1816 at Lerwick. Mother is Janet MUIR b 1782 at Lerwick also. Father unknown.
I have found them both on the 1851 census in Cheshire but would love some earlier info if anyone can help.

You may find what you are looking for at website run by Tony Gott in Shetland .  www.bayanne.info/shetland . It's a very comprehensive genealogical database where I found most of my Shetland ancestors.

Thanks for that -  have already looked there - unfortunately my people don't appear to there - just my luck!!
