Hi

I used to live in Baldock and had my wedding reception in the old ballroom at Kayser Bondor where the Rolling Stones once played! My stepmother also used to work there (HOLEHOUSE) as did her family.

Have you tried contacted Brendan King at The Baldock Society as they have a small collection of documents on Kayser Bondor?

My mother worked at the factory. She was Drothy Gray. I am interested in your Smith surname as I also have Smith's.

My grandmother Florence Gentle worked in the postroom for a number of years, and I can remember when the Rolling Stones played at the John Goodenday Centre.

My Stepmother, Janette Holehouse worked at Kayser Bondor as a stocking turner - her machine was under the window to the left of what is now Tesco main entrance. Her Father Ted Holehouse also worked there, having moved from Nottinghamshire.
Her grandmother was Lydia Gentle from Baldock
