Title: Immigration from Canada/USA to UK

I believe a THOMAS KENT (b Canada 1859) came to the United Kingdom from Canada or US between 1880 and 1883, and lived in Cornwall before marrying in London in 1885.

Is there any way I could confirm this? Any help much appreciated.
