Hi evahannah
If you are trying to flesh out your Grandparents lives I can't help you. If you wish to find out more about your ancestors pre 1901 that is easier.
You could look at the 1911 Census, which will give their place of residence before their marriage but it is a pay site although you can access the search facility.
What about Electoral Rolls?
Here are a few websites that may be helpful
http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx
http://welsh-genealogy-services.com/links.htm
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/southwest/webguide/pages/familyhistory.shtml
You'll find you have to be careful what you post. I believe Rootschat are very careful if they believe someone is stll alive.
Good Luck
Wendy :)

In 1891 the family are living in Rhos Cottage, Hengoed, at that time the area was Hengoed but now the cottage would have been on the Hospital road, leading from Penpedairheol, I lived in the village and on the census it was near Cwrt y Betty which was also on Hospital Road. are you familiar with the area??

Hi Marona
Do you know if Caradoc was born in the Gelligar district and roughly what year would he be born?
Do you have their wedding certificate?
Is the following one too late or too early? There are plenty of other Caradocs.
There is this birth
Births Dec 1920
Price Caradoc Mother's surname Evans Merthyr T 11a 1619
There is also a marriage which may or may not be relevant for his parents
Marriages Mar 1912
Evans Ruth Spouse's surname Price Merthyr T. 11a 880
Price Caradoc Spouse's surname Evans Merthyr T. 11a 880
You can check yourself on

Hi,
I'm not sure how much further you got with your research as I see the posts are from 2009. Llewllyn Price and my great grandfather Morgan Price were brothers. I can remember my grandparents being in contact with the Gilfach branch of the family and I am in touch with the descendant of Dulcie May, a sister to your grandfather. I and cousins have done extensive research into the family. If you are still interested, I'll be happy to help.
Best Wishes
Carol

Hi Carol, No unfortunately I have not gotten any further. My Grandad passed away in Cadoxton in 1963, he and my nana were no longer residing together, she had been living with another man for many years on Barry Island. I am not sure if you and I are talking about the same Price family, my family are Romany Gipsies?? Not sure if your are?? :)

Hi Marona,
Sorry but I was responding to the Price Family of Gilfach, Bargoed.

Hi Tina,
William Price was my Grandad. I've done some research on the Price family. Hopefully we can get in touch and share findings.
Kind regards

Hi Hywel,
I have an extensive Price tree on Ancestry. To be clear, my Price family include the Prices of Gilfach, Bargoed, who originated from Adam Uchaf Farm, Gelliager. Llewelyn Price was a brother to my great grandfather, Morgan Price. I would be happy to share info, if we are connected. My tree is Price/Jones/Davies/Candrick/Weeks. My email is hendersonc4125@gmail.com.

my name is roger fowler conection to the family above crongie was my dads brother
please can help re anne magaret price marriage to crongie fowler Hereford 1919

Hi Roger,
I have the 1901 census. I'm not sure that you have the correct family. I have a Margaret Ann not an Ann Margaret. Margaret Ann married a Robin Valentine Collins/Collings, in 1906, not a Crongie Fowler. By the way, It's Gelligaer not Gelligan. In 1901 the family was living at 1 Gwerthonor Place, Gilfach, Bargoed, In the parish of Gelligaer. In the 1911 census, Margaret and Robin are living at 29 St Anne's Rd, Gilfach, Bargoed with their 2 children, son Thomas Llewellyn and daughter Doris. Both are buried, together,at St Catwg's Churchyard, Gelligaer.

hello carol,
thank you for your replie please look up marriage 6th sept 1919 at ledbury Hereford of Margaret
anne price, to cronge fowler, it was stated that Margaret Price brother signed as father to her on
the wedding day.also presence was a annie davies.was this the mother and wife of Llewellyn.Price of Gelligan Swansea brother to morgan price of gelligaer,Adam urchaf farm.Later of Gilfach
they had a daughter Dorothy born in cefn hengoed at 23rd feb 1923 to cronge and Margaret address was 50.gelligaer rd.cefn hengoed in 1923 reg no 365 Merthyr Tydfil.
Margaret price had a brother called ivor price from gelligaer. thank you roger

Hi Roger,
Please can you email me at (*). I stil think that you have 2 famiies mixed up. Where does Gelligan, Swansea come into it? Our family never lived in Swansea, certainly not Llewellyn, and I can't find a Gelligan in Swansea. Maybe a transcription error, but I know Swansea fairly well too. Also Margaret Ann did not have a brother Ivor. There was and still is more than one Prive family in gelligaer. I am originally from Gelligaer and know most of the old Price families. Maybe, I can help unravel it. Can you send me a copy of the certificate and any census you have. If there was an Annie Davies present at the wedding, it's unlikely to be Margaret's mother/wife of Llewellyn as she would be Annie Price not Davies. I'm willing to help you out but need info from you as I don't want to send for certificates myself.
Best Wishes
Carol
