I'm hoping to try to find some certificates next Monday. Can anyone tell me where the office is in Merthyr and where is the best place to park?!!
I'm coming from Neath if it makes a difference...
Thanx,
Delyth.

Hi,
The office is situated on the ground floor of Castle House, Glebeland Steet.

As you drive past the Council Offices (on your left - the direction in which I went!) there is a car park immediately past, it is the car park used for the council and the Courts so can get busy, it is then a short walk up the road to the Library which has excellent F.H. resources and the Librarian there is an absolute treasure. (I went a couple of years ago now so things may have changed)

If you find difficulty parking at the law courts as mentioned on an earlier post then a good place is in the long parking facility at the College which is opposite the law courts on the other side of the river. Just follow the 'P' parking signs, can't go wrong, plenty of room and a short walk from the town.

Thanks for help everyone! Found it ok and managed to park behind the council offices. Found the registry office easy enough so now just waiting for my certificate to come and hope its my relatives after all! :)

Hi coming from Merthyr you can park in the local supermarket car park for 2 hours free which is situatied in the town itself. But please if you have the time pop in the library, FH librarian has excellent resource material and she is so good. Its located on the top floor of the library.
Good luck
