Good morning
Can anybody kindly assist me in finding information on Ann WILLIAMSON b c1772 Fair Isle Shetland Islands?
Was she married on Shetland Islands; did she die on the Shetland Islands?
An Ann WILLIAMSON is a G.....Grandmother of mine and I would dearly like to establish whether this is my Ann WILLIAMSON.
With sincere thanks

Good morning Ev
Thank you for your response:
You will see that I am 'clutching at straws' in attempting to find my Ann / e WILLIAMSON.
My Ann / e WILLIAMSON married William COTTRELL on 14 July 1799
Diocese of Cork & Ross, Co Cork.
Whilst William COTTRELL was from a family of Attorneys in Cork, where
Ann / e originated I have not been able to discover at this stage.
Your time and effort is greatly appreciated.

Good morning akc
Hey!!
???
Thanks very much for that valuable information.
Ann / es birthplace has always been a wonderment to our family:
Shetland Isles did seem a little far away from Cork -
Now we are a little closer to home.
Your time and efforts have been very rewarding.
Sincerely
EDO

Ann Williamson born 1772 Castle CaringtonYorkshire[/b] baptised 12 April
In attempting to find the location of "Castle Carington, Yorkshire", I have received advice that such a castle is not in the records of Yorkshire Castles.
"Castle Carrington certainly does not exist in Yorkshire today even as a ruin.
To be honest I have never heard the name mentioned as a castle that has existed in Yorkshire in the past.
I think that you could well have some mis-information on this.
Sorry I can't be of any further help

Would you mind checking the source of the information
Thank you sincerely

Hello akc
Thank you for attempting to resolve the issue of Anne WILLIAMSON
I will send it on to someone with better eyes than me and more knowledge of the local establishments
Can you kindly inform me of the source of the information?
Also, was there any reference to Anne's maiden name?

There is a place called 'Dunnington' on the outskirts of York; I have never heard it called 'Castle Dunnington', but, you never know!
