Hi
Attached is the marriage entry: Mary Anne FOWLER and William Charles WILLIMOTT were married (by Licence) St Mary at Lambeth, 3 Sept 1825.
I'm unable to decipher the names of three of the Witnesses: Wiliam FOWLER …followed by in brackets (William FOWLER ? could be Jun.?), Jane (Surname ?), Eliza FOWLER, (Christian name ?) WILLIMOTT.
I'm hoping if I can work out their names, I might be able to research further.
Cheers and thanks

Hi Kate
Not too sure about this but could it be...
William FOWLER
William FOWLER Jnr
Jane FOWLER
Eliza FOWLER
Jennitt WILLMOTT
Just a thought

Hi Kate,
It certainly looks like Wm Fowler Jun in brackets. I also think Jane's surname is Fowler too. As for the Christian name - Tennitt ???

Hi Christine and Karenlee
Thank you for having a look for me. Thanks for confirming the Fowler names for me.
That Jennitt or Tennitt isn't showing up as a Christian but when I did a search and the name Sennitt Willimott appeared. Do you think it could be a letter "S"?
Cheers

No reason why not.... think it could well be an S.
There is a Sennitt WILLMOTT on the 1841 Census aged 31 in St Marylebone.

It could be an S - the only way to tell would be if you could find another one in the document to compare.
Jennitt I have come across as an old (usually very old) form of Janet. Tennitt could be a surname used as a christian name - it happens a lot.
Hedge your bets and search on all of them ;D

I really do wish we could have the red warnings back! It was always good to be able to see what others were posting at the same time. Now we just go blindly on ::)

Christine and Karenlee,
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I'll investigate Sennitt, Tennitt and Jennitt and see what happens.
Have a lovely day!! It's Melbourne Cup Day here! The race will start in a couple of hours.
Cheers
