Hello all,
Does anyone have anything more than the following on this branch of the Andersons of Tushielaw?
Michael Anderson I (b.1650) = NN Scott (sister of Laird Walter from whom MA bought Tushielaw in 1688) Poss. is also the MA = Margaret Naesmyth

Michael Anderson II (c. 16766-1719) = Henrietta Porteous
|
Michael Anderson III (c.1710-1762) = Janet Naesmyth (4th dau. of 1st Baronet, James Naesmyth of Tushielaw)

1)Michael Anderson IV (c.1735-1779) = Isabella Colville
2)Barbara Anderson = Alexander Kirton chirugeon of Barbados
3)Patrick Anderson = Rachel Watt

Some of them are in Ettrick Cemetery.William died 1760 his son Michael 1788 Wife Isabel Hallison and their daughter Margret.1774.
Mary anderson died 1829 aged 88yrs spouse Adam Scott
Margret Nasmith dau of Sir Michael Nasmith of Posso /spouse Michael of Tushielaw.
t says she died May 16th age 36yrs(There was no year shown and i hav rechecked the photo) their son John Anderson died 1913 aged 28yrs.
There are 17 entries for Anderson in Ettrick 28 in Yarrow and 11 in kirkhope and a few old ones in St Marys.
When i transcribed Ettrick ther was a previous entry recorded Stone 123 The burial place of the Andersons of Rashiegrain. erected by Andrew Anderson 1760 but we never found it.Sorry.
Suggest you get the Cd with digital photos of all headstones.from www.selkirkshireantiquariansociety.co.uk .There are too many to list.
