Title: Brandon / Irvine family Clones
Post by: Lyndairish on Thursday 12 November 09 19:07 GMT (UK)
Hi All, Any information on the family connection we have just uncovered  to Clones, Robert Brandon born 1834 Clones, died 1911 Paisley, Scotland. His parents were John Brandon b1810-d1861 Clones, and Mary Jane Irvine born 1809 Clones,  died in  Paisley Scotland. It is thought that John did not make the move to Scotland.
We have no idea if any other members of the family also moved.

Regards Lyndairish

Hi there, not a Brandon connection but an Irvine one.

I've just discovered from the 1901 census that my Great Great Grandmother was born Mary Ann Irvine in County Monaghan, probably Clones circa 1840. Not sure who her parents were, but she ended up marrying a William John Magee in Lambeg, County Antrim in 1857.

Hi I have not gone any further with my Irving tree, so this sound very promising. I will check out the 1901 Irish Census, and will pass this info on to a cousin who lives in Scotland. I will let you know if she has any further info.
Regards Lynda
