Title: Edward and Ellen Roberts
Post by: Elsa-Mary on Sunday 22 November 09 19:02 GMT (UK)
Hello from Spain :)

I ahve 1881 census of Everton Liverpool, thet states great great great granfather  Edward Roberts  Butcher ,came from (as is on census )Llaingnwen, could this be Llangainwen do you think?
For his wife Ellen it only says Angelsey Wales.
Is there another village with a similar name?

I was brought in in Llanberis, and drove Coaches and buses around Angelsey and thought I knew the island quite well---but I am stumped !! :-[

If I am to progress with this family,I really need to find where they came from before moving to Liverpool.

Adios

Thanks Tim :)

There has been some progression,it turns out Edward was from LLANGWM DENBIGH,and Ellen (yet to find her maiden name, was frpm Penmon/Beaumaris)
Many thanks for your reply.
