Hi Peggy.

Thank you.

He disappeared about 1922/23 and returned 1935 or slightly later & died in UK 1945.

The one Seattle Passenger and Crew List Record I have managed to find for John Moore - Dec 1923 had all 3 of them on - from Sweet Grass Montana to Seattle. Washington. Destination:- Coalhurst.

This is interesting and a bit odd.  What kind of passenger list was it?  Montana is to the East of Seattle (by several hundred miles), and Coalhurst is in Alberta, Canada, North of Montana.  Were they perhaps actually traveling from Seattle?

Since you find the 3 friends together it is obviously your man.

Nick

I think that's more of a border crossing at Sweet Grass, Montana.  There doesn't seem to be any ship listed on the actual page, and Seattle isn't actually mentioned on the page.  It looks like they are going to join friend John Walde, Box 27, Cornwall, Pennsylvania.  There is also a John Halley traveling with them.  It looks like they all previously worked for Lethbridge (?) Coal Co. in Alberta.
