Title: Dublin Consistorial and Perogative Entries
Post by: geoff clinton on Sunday 29 November 09 15:42 GMT (UK)
I have found a reference to a possible ancestor Arthur Clinton. It is contained in the Louth Archeological and History Journal.
It is in the Dublin Consistorial and Perogative Entries with the Listing in 1763 for "Arthur Clinton Dublin, Marriage Licence". Does anyone have access to the Data and if so does it give any further information?

Dear Geoff

You might care to look in the Appendix to the 26th Annual Report of the Deputy Keeper of the Public Records in Ireland (c.1893) where there  is a listing of such documents in his possession. If so listed it is most likely that it was destroyed in that supreme act of vandalism in 1922.

Why would an RC couple marry in St Peter’s COI Church in WRUHUWDublin in 1837 with a Consirtorial Licence ?
