Hello Does anyone know of a FREE Electoral Roll Website.
I am trying to track down a LOST cousin know Town Not on www.bt.com
for telephone number. Tonight found him on a couple of Electoral Roll sites but one wanted £60.00 plus to join. TOO much money for one lookup
I live in Berkshire and the area for the Electoral Roll is in Northamptonshire
too far to travel.
Look forward to your comments or suggestions.
Regards
Porcelayne Ladye :) :)

In all reference rooms in libraries they have big Poll books for the area the street is in ,I have never looked in modern ones (for my aria N.W.) only up to 1930.They don't give phone numbers. If you know the name of the street and the name of the person. Why not find the library in the aria, the books are freely available. Why not ask (if they have time) if they will do a look-up for you. They should also have all the B.T.Phone books for every county in the U.K.Have you tried your library they should have them as well. The Phone books i mean :) I can go to my library and find ,If not ex-directory,a phone book for Berkshire.
Hope this helps

Hello Celia
Thanks for your reply. If I did not live over 100 miles from the area I am interested in I would be there like a shot. I have today contacted Luton and Bedfordshire Archives and they are checking the Electoral Roll for me for the year I am interested in forty years ago. They charged a reasonable fee.
Someone very kindly on rootschat have checked a recent electral roll and yesterday I wrote to to person I am looking for and hope he still lives there.
Many thanks for your kind offer Celia.
0h the other day I did try telephone numbers online he was not listed either ex directory or not using BT - British Telecom.
Kind Regards
