Title: Jones, David Thomas
Post by: bairnj on Monday 07 December 09 14:14 GMT (UK)
I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out with trying to trace by GGrandafthers family.

I have been searching for this family for a few years, but the majority of my research in Scotland (where i live) and I don't know where to start with Welsh records.

The details I have for him are:

David Thomas Jones, son of David Morgan Jones (grocer) and Elizabeth Evans. The family are led to believe that he was born in Lampeter in 1887 - he is also supposed to died at Sea, although I have found no record whatsosver of his death.

He was married in Scotland in 1916, they had a daughter, Jean, my grandfather, David Morgan Jones, was born in 1920 and we do not know how long his father was around for.  I have since found out that my Ggran remarried, but not until 1950.

Anyhelp or advice on where to start looking would be absolutely amazing.  I've always been very proud of my welsh roots and would love to know more.

Thanks again.  (I hope I've posted this in the correct category)
