Title: Albert Ernest Tudgey birth

I am looking for the parents of Albert Ernest TUDGEY/TUDGAY.  His grandparents are listed as being George and Elizabeth TUDGAY in the 1881 census, but I don’t know who his parents were.

One record says that he was born at Buckhorn Weston, Dorset, but the Free bmd says he was born in the Sep quarter of 1872 at Wincanton.

Buckhorn Weston is in the Wincanton registration district.  The birth certificate will show his parents.

I can now link Albert E(rnest) in as a son of David and Elizabeth TUDGAY. And I didn’t know about Theodore.

I notice you refer to a John and Elizabeth … did you mean David and Elizabeth? Would you be able to let me know the details of David’s birth which you saw on earlier censuses please?

I don’t suppose you have records which would give the maiden names of the wives, do you? Albert Ernest’s wife was an Ellen Jane someone  and both David and his father George both married Elizabeths. Not to worry if I’m asking too much. I could make those the subect of another post later.
