Liverpool Records Office may be able to help, given the info you have.

The chances are that in 1958 he'd be buried in a civil cemetery rather than a church yard.

Have a look on Liverpool city council website for a list of cemeteries and possibly contact them for guidance/advice.

Hello All,

Have now moved to Brittany in France,

Cannot seem to find Burial of Grandfather Alexander Harold Robinson b 1886/7 N ireland--died June 20th(my birthday) 1958 in hospital in Liverpool.
He had a Pawnshop  in Broad Green Road  area of LIVERPOOL-HIS COMMONLAW WIFE DOROTHY Olive Davies/Robinson,now deceased  was witness on death cert.  I am unable to visit record office-but would I get this information, and I have no idea if he was buried or cremated,He married Nellie Boyle in 1915 in Auchnacloy Co Tyrone-and never divorced----He was then Presbyterian--but things change, any help out there--I am now 72 yrs and fear I WILL NEVER have chance to know .Thank You

Hi,Pauline,
Thank You for your reply
Every time I look at site-it does not seem to have an area to ask about Burials or Cremations.

Will try to find out if there is department or Office for that sort of query.
Thanks

 :)  Thank You,

I thought there might have been a type of  searchable site for burials and Crematoria, or even Memorials.
I have not a clue where he would have been   buried etc,He  lived  it seems  in Waldgrave Rd, I think and business- Pawnshop, was on Broad  Green Road-died in Royal Infirmary.

There are grave inscription records free online for a number of Liverpool cemeteries. They take some time to go through though. More records are available online for the 19th century as this death is the 1950s it's more difficult. I've had no luck. Possible cemeteries going by where he lived are West Derby Cemetery, Anfield Cemetery and Allerton Cemetery. If there was no stone then he could still be there. I did a quick search of the Liverpool Echo to see if there was a death notice but nothing came up.

Some links:-

West Derby: http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~ormandy/nostalgia/
Anfield: http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~ormandy/history/
Allerton (incomplete): http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~ormandy/misc/
Kirkdale: http://freepages.rootsweb.com/~ormandy/folklore/
Toxteth: http://www.toxtethparkcemeteryinscriptions.co.uk/

Liverpool City Council cemeteries usually charge for a general search of various cemeteries that might be an option as they can do a more complete search than we can on here. You can contact them and ask them here:-
