Lodge Farm Thornhill Lees, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire
I am trying to find info on this farm that has been around since the mid 1600s, the rumour is that the farm is haunted and i would like to try narrow down by whom, It is still lived in at the moment and the people in it say they see an old man in a flat cap and 2 children aged 9 and 7 ish quite often. the man is said to be a mr robinson and he lived in the farm in the 1940s, the children look like they are from a victorian time period, anything would be appreciated

You can find this document in the Savile Estate papers held by West Yorkshire archives , in Huddersfield library.

Id check out the Local History part at Dewsbury library theres bound to be some info in the locked bookshelves lots of old publications!

Had to comment on this post as I laughed when I read it. It seemed so sureal that someone would want to know who the Ghosts were. When you think about it I find it very funny.
I do believe in Ghosts and have seen a few in my time but to find out their names will be mind boggling.
Will keep an eye on this post to see if you find out who they are, how fab is that

Its am old building with plenty of history and thats wat im interested in, theres not much chance of finding who the rumoured ghosts are but history is dif. maybe we should send in the most haunted team lol

I get the gist of what you want but as it was posted it seemed really funny as if you wanted their names and adddress., age and whatever. Just tickeled me.
Ghost whatever people who dont believe may think do actually communicate and let you know who they are. They are stuck here in no mans land and want to pass on but cant for whatever reason. Funny thing is I passed the farm in December as my brother lives in Birstall which is not miles away and we went to a friend of Emily Brontes house which is now a museum and walked around there. I was born in Leeds so not too far away from Dewsbury.
I will try to remember the address of this farm and see if I can visit it to see what info I might find, but when it gets warmer as its not been great for travelling in the last 6 weeks. I will ring my Brother and see if he knows anything about the Farm for you. Its really interesting to me so will try and contact you later if I find anything out for you.

I live in Dewsbury (for my sins) and the reason i asked is because my mums best mates grandaughter lives there and has told them about the ghosts and have said they see them all the time. my parents are going down to visit in spring and they wanted some info just to show them.
