Hi - and sorry I'm not a Dimmock - but I did come across a family of them last week when perusing the Bishops Transcripts for Lymington/Pennington, Hampshire, on film in the LDS.  I noticed them because the well-known Charlie Dimmock resided in Romsey, Hants at one time and I idly wondered if this family were her Dimmock/Dymock antecedants!

Hello
I am a Dimmock  Buckinghamshire  I have traced my Dimmock ancestors back to Oxfordshire in the 1700's
Richard Dimmock born in Chinnor married a Watlington  a lady and so he moved to Watlington
There was a Charles Dimmock born in Watlington 2 generations later who  married a lady from Hampshire and so he moved there this is where my trail ends
I also have red hair could Charlie Dimmock be related  I would love to find out
Kind Regards Macca 888

Hi,

My 4th great grandmother was called Eleanor Dimmock, I don't know much about her, but she married in about 1816 in London, to Isaac Seggins, he was from Norfolk and they had their family in Bucks, which leads me to believe that this is where she was also from.
The family were living in Weston Underwood, I need to consult the Bucks FHS when I can, this is one side that needs chasing up, but I am very certain that my Dimmocks came from Bucks.
