Hello Rootschatters,
I would like to ask you for a favour. I am writing a little story about some members of my family, and I wanted to know about Victorian clothing from 1850-1890. The relatives I am following (Clarissa and Sarah) were born in the 1810's and I am writing about their life 1850-their deaths. They were upper-working/lower-middle class dressmakers from a small Buckinghamshire village.
I would love to see photographs of women's clothing in the Victorian era, to help me get a feel of what they would have looked like. Basically they'd be 40-upwards in the story.
So if any of you could post photographs up I would be most grateful
Thanks
Matt
