Bessarabia was a province in the southwest corner of the Russian empire, covering most, if not all, of modern-day Moldova and included bits of Romania and the Ukraine. However, it did not come into being until 1812.

It is generally thought that Germans did not move out there until 1814.

The colony at Paris was not founded until 1816

See http://www.grhs.org/rig/bess/villages/ParisBess.htm

The 'Germans from Russia Heritage Society' would appear to be the ideal group for you.

I have noticed a German chap researching Allmer in Paris from the late 19th and early 20th century.

Do you have any more information?

Justin

Johann Traugutt Allmer and Ana Marie Schorzman were born not in Paris, Bessarabia, but evidently migrated from some place in Poland, as Paris was founded only in 1816 by 141 families of migrants from Poland.

Worms was founded in 1809 by 65 families from  Elzas, Baden, Wurtemberg, Pfalz, Poland, Fogtland, Westfalen, Meklenburg and Sachsen. Named after Worms / Rheinhessen. Mass migration from Worms to USA was in 1873.

Fere Champenoise was founded in 1818 by  126 families from Wurtemberg and Prussia (migrated during 1801 - 04), Sachsen and France.

People of German nationality were "sentenced to exile" according to the Resolution of GKO (State Committee for Defence) # 702 cc dated 22.09.1941 "On resettlement of German nationals from Zaporozhskaya, Stalinskaya and Voroshilovgradskaya regions".

According to this Resolution Soviet citizens of German nationality were exiled to Kazakhstan:
63,000 from Zaporozhskaya, 41,000 from Stalinskaya (Donetskaya nowadays) and 5487 from Voroshilovogradskaya (Luganskaya nowadays) regions of Ukraine.

This operation of deportation was performed between 25 September and 10 October 1941. People left all their belongings, property and were allowed to take only 200 kg of personal belongings and food per person. 100,000 people were deported during this time. Another 800,000 were deported till the end of 1941.....
