Im trying to find ANN ROSE, all i know is she married my g-grandfather in mansfield notts in 1905. I cannot find out where she came from, when she was born, though he was born in 1884 and died aged 53 in 1937, they had 9 children one of them my grandfather. If anyone has any info on her it would be greatly appreciated

Hi Juliep
Have you any other information? What was her father's name?
How old was she when she married?

Hi sunflower.
Unfortunately the only info I have is what iv'e written down. A bit of a long shot I know, but I was hoping that there is a super snooper out there somewhere.... I can presume though, is that they are both buried in mansfield woodhouse.

Hiya Julie :)
Unless someone's actually researched this line already, I'm sure you know that the way forward is to get hold of that marriage cert and find out Ann's age and her father's name and occupation.
There is a baptism at Basford 04/05/1885, Ann Maria to Robert and Ann Rose, father a miner. This is on the Notts FHS index. There are also a whole host of Annies and Mary Anns, but no plain Ann !

Hi Heather
The marriage certificate is on order, and also grandfathers birth cert, but im just so impatient and cant wait for them to arrive!, as you know in there day, they had middle names that they were actually called by as in my family there are 2 johns, but one was a bill and the other a jack! out of interest what can I expect to find out from these certificates?
Regards
Julie.

Oh yes I know that impatient feeling ;D
There is a good site I often recommend that explains the info on BDM's

Hi Julie Sorry no relations to your Clay Family yet.
My Rose connection is as follows
John Rose Born 16/3/1822 Arnold
Marr 1/1/1843 to Frances Housley at Basford
Children as follow's
Millicent 23/3/1844 Arnold
Martha 1845 ""
Harriet 1852 ""
Jacob 1855 ""
My tree do not follow the Rose Line as Frances had a daughter before marriage to John, so my line goes down the Housley side.
Let me know if Ican be of any help at a later time
Regards Joy
