Now my information can go back to the mid to early 1800's in as much as my great-grandparents hambleton .
My great-grandfather William apparently was the gardener and coach driver
to the Lady of the Manor and my great-grandmother was a member of the
domestic staff at the manor house. Now, I can't give the exact location
of the manor house but I have always been told it was on one of the
Western Isles off the west coast of Scotland and that their family was
comprised of 3 lone sons. Whether there were any other members we have no
known trace.
