Amy HILL, parents and birth place unknown ,
married John William Fyfe BIDDLE in Woollahra NSW 1982.
They had one son called John W.BIDDLE born 1900.
Amy is widowed in 1904.
Her husband is buried at Waverley cemetery NSW.
He was 41 years old and his parents were John Zachariah and Emily BIDDLE nee ANSELL.
I have searched for what happened to Amy BIDDLE and her little son John but found no evidence in NSW.
Could anyone help please?

So who was John Wright Biddle that died in South Africa?
John Wright BIDDLE who died in South Africa was the third son of Zachariah Wright BIDDLE who died in NZ in 1892. http://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/cgi-bin/paperspast?a=d&cl=search&d=TS19000815.2.21&srpos=1&e=-------10--1----0zachariah+biddle-all
Zachariah emmigrated from Devon with his family after 1871 (1873 according to letters at http://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/imagine.asp?B=678349&I=1&SE=1
It appears that John Wright BIDDLE was the one who married Amy HILL in 1892 in Sydney.

I agree with you Dundee ;)
It looks like the father who married Amy Hill was John Wright Biddle and his only son was also John Wright Biddle.

The evidence shown about the Amy Hill who married J.W.BIDDLE does now seem to conclude that my great uncle John William Fyfe BIDDLE did not marry at all or did he?
the post by Dundee
"In loving memory of John Wright Biddle inserted by Mr W H Hill and family "
does seem to conclude that Amy Hill married John W BIDDLE in 1892.in Woollahra NSW

Hi
John William Fyfe BIDDLE died 20 Nov 1904 age 41 years
Anglican Section: 19 Select, Row 18, Grave 4320,4321MERLIN
The SMH notice for 20th November 1904
In memory of John BIDDLE died 20th NOVEMBER, 1904
inserted by his loving nephew Jack Biddle 366 Riley Street.
must refer to my grandfather John Henry(Jack )Biddle Turramurra
I think it would be a stretch of the imagination to have 2 different BIDDLE men dying on the same day, (unless you can positively say that is the case)
JACK was and still is, a nickname for JOHN. The 2 are frequently interchanged.
May I ask what certificates you hold in regard to the birth of the child who is indexed only as JOHN W. BIDDLE and whose father is also indexed as only JOHN W. BIDDLE.
Likewise, the marriage is indexed as only JOHN W> BIDDLE.
Did the name JOHN WILLIAM FYFE BIDDLE com form a certificate linking him to AMY ?

Thank you Sparret for your reply
Yes the evidence is definitely that the SMH notice is the correct Biddle family
The deceased estate papers are in the name of Biddell
I was given copies of many Biddle/Biddell marriage, death and letters from a living member of the family with some inconsistencies and mistakes.
there was an Amy Biddle and she was married to the brother of JWH BIDDLE
I do not have a certificate as yet about the child of John W.Biddle.It has been ordered with others about this family by my cousin
When we get them we will put all the people in the correct families
Thank you for your wise words about proof
