Could someone please let me have the details for Clara Louisa STENT in 1901?
She was born, I think, in India about 1862, and seems to have returned there with her new hsuband immediately after her marriage in Croydon in 1883 to William Kitson STENT.
He died at 'Norwood House,' Streatham, Surrey in 1900, and so I am expecting her to be near there in 1901. She may have children with her, and she may be living with other members of his (or her) family. From the index, it looks as if they may have had two sons: Dudley H STENT and Vincent H STENT.
Many thanks for your help with this.
Kind regards

Thank you so much for these very helpful listing.
It is obvious that Clara and William had several more children than I knew about - at least two in England.
With this information I should be able to find out much more about this family.
Are any of the four sons in England in 1911?
Kind regards

It's really fascinating to see the comings and goings of this family over the years. Obviously two of the brothers worked in the Foreign Service, and they travelled a lot with their jobs.
From a standing start we have found out a huge amount about this branch of the family; I even found a reference to the death in in 1931 in Ceylon of Mary, the first wife of Vincent who remarried in 1934.
Thanks so much for all this wonderful detail.
Kind regards

This is really fascinating. Ellen died in 1891 and John in 1897, but this is the first time I have seen the members of this family all together.

Karen
I'm having trouble locating the source for these events.
Can you tell me where to look for this information, both about Pamela Prideaux and about the date of death and marriage you have discovered?
Many thanks
