Anyone out there looking at the Dawes family 1901 and 1911 Oakvillas Applewaite Kendall.
Would love to contact this family... connection Charlotte L Dove born 1857 Glamorgan =m= Alfred Horace Dawes 2nd qtr 1878 Leeds.
Alfred born 1857 Ironbridge
family moved to westmoorland 1881where Alfred was a landscape painter and later the family went into sell antiques.
They went on to have 7children
Helen L b 1880, Ivy K b 1881 Winifred E b 1883,Mary C b 1885
Florence M and Twin ethel N b 1889
Edith G b 1890.
In 1927 Winifred =m= Henry O Thorp district Kendal
To help twig someones memory Charlotte the mother went to America in the 1920's to her sisiters funeral.
