My father tells me that he's been told that there was a book published in the 1990'2 about Welsh heroine Jemima Nicholas and in this book reference is made to his family (but he does not know how/or whom) ,,, unfortunately he cant remember if he was told the name of the book or the author.
Any suggestions gratefully received - I'd like to find out whether its true or whether its just something someone said to add "interest" to our family!

You could always write to the local newspaper they are sure to know, there are some times articles in it about Jemima
The Western Telegraph
Merlins Bridge
Haverfordwest
Pembrokeshire
Wales
Or you could contact
Victoria Bookshop
6 Bridge Street
Haverfordwest
They are bound to sell it or can order it for you I think you can do this over the phone and they will post it to you.

Hi Mellie,
I too have been told my family goes back to Jemima Nicholas, probably every Nicholas in Pembrokeshire says the same! I am seaching for my grandfather's relatives called Nicholas. I would be interested if you can get hold of any information on Jemima
-
So far drawing a big blank on this one!... I am trying to track down some more information on Jemima's heritage to see if i can link my lot in ....
as to date I have no surname NICHOLAS appearing in my tree, I have my doubts
Never mind!
I shall let you know if I find anything!

Hi Millie
I am not sure how these chat rooms work, so if you get two of these emails I apologise now. I wanted to respond to your query regarding a book on Jemina. I am also a descendant (or so I have been told) through my maternal grandmother and while living in the UK in 1986 I visited Fishguard and purchased a children's book from the local book seller there. It was written in Welsh (I have had it translated) but it did make for a lovely read. I will try to find the book to provide you with the publishers details. I am also looking to obtain another copy if possible for my Aunt.
I would very much appreciate if you could put me onto any other information regarding Jemima and my mother, her sister and I are very interested to learn more about this fascinating lady. Do you know if she married, I have read conflicting reports on this?
I very much look forward to your response

Hi,
My mother told me several years ago that our family is related to jemima nicholas, the male side of our family from my mothers side has the Nicholas name either as a first or second name
-
Hi, I would be very interested in a family tree. We haven't been able to get back to Jemima. We believe that she was a great Aunt x ?. My Grandmother was Catherine Nicholas and as far as we know she was descended from Jemima or her siblings. Any information you have would be great.
