Just spotted another Daniel Hayes, born Ireland, also aged 25 in 1901.

He's a stoker in the Royal Navy on the Magnificent.

Ref: RG13/5327/63/25

So . . . . which one!

Heywood

I'd say that's the right one. The 1881 has the whole family born Tipperary.

Have looked at records for all the family, but nothing jumps out except the 1891 census found by Heywood. Would need more info to find them I think - a wife's name or an area they moved to.

The two 1901 census records I found are inconclusive as he could be either of them or perhaps neither!

Do you have any of them on the 1911 census?
