Dear All,
I'm trying to confirm the death of my great-grandfather, which was supposed to be around 1968. I found a note left by my grandfather with a few bits of information about 'John William Young'.
It said that he lived in Wem in the 1960s and had married Louisa Mary, a local school teacher (his second marriage).
My grandfather said that he died in 1968 but I haven't been able to clarify this with the death indexes. Is there anyway somebody can look this up for me? Please?
According to the 1911 census, he was born in Whitechapel, London in 1880.
Yours sincerely,
James

Ancestry, should have a DB that should help you to locate his baptism:

Can't see anything for his death in the indexes. I would go to or contact Shropshire Archives to see if he is buried in Wem. They hold the register of burials for that time.

Found his date of death at the Probate Registry with his will etc.
Thank you for looking him up anyway.
