Title: Sladen family - Rhydoldog
Post by: hellywelly on Saturday 10 April 10 14:28 BST (UK)
The Sladen family of Rhayader owned Rhydoldog - does anyone know where the family is buried; General John Ramsey Sladen and his children??

I am related to this family but it would seem we are the poorer ones, my great great great grandad was his brother William Dare Sladen.  His son John William Frank Ramsey Sladen ended up living in Glasgow.  does anybody know the story???

The death of General John Ramsey Sladen was recorded in Rhayader therefore I imagine he would be buied in Llansanffraid Cwmteuddwr.

By 'googling' his name various interesting sites come up, but this one at powys might be useful - R/X162 Documents relating to Rhydoldog, Llansanffraid Cwmteuddwr - donated by Bryan Lawrence

Hi Skylark,

I also thought that he must be buried near to where he lived.  However, re: the link you sent does this mean i can access the documents mentioned in the link below? if so how?
