hello . :) wondering if anyone can help! my paternal g.grandmother was ELLEANOR (BOYD) HEWITT and she married my g.grandfather, WILLIAM HEWITT, in SHANKHILL PARISH CHURCH, LURGAN in 1879. i know quite a bit about the HEWITT family, but would like to find out something about the BOYD family, ie. ELLEANORS family. can anyone help? i think she may have come from the KILVERGAN area of LURGAN, and may have had a sister called ANNIE, who was possibly a MRS. LOGAN? any help greatly appreciated. many thanks in anticipation. ps. the HEWITTS she married into are 'THE HEWITTS OF THE TURNPIKE'. ???

According to www.ancestryireland.co.uk Elleanors father was Thomas.
According to the 1911 census she was 55 years old (born Circa 1856), so Church records will be the only place to get a birth record, as Civil registration only began in 1864. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Armagh/Aghory/Mulladry/329751/

Not sure if you're still active on this site.
I have some information that I will try to find for you. Elleanor and William were my gggrandparents, of their children James, Agusta and I think Elleanor, I'm related to James. Just out of curiosity, whom are you related to?
I'll get back to you if you're still interested!

Sorry I accidentally deleted the rest of Elleanor and Williams children ie
James William, Thomas, Joseph, Robert, Agusta (Annie) and Eleanor.
Like I said, my ggrandad was James. Would be interested in you connection!
