I recently recieved my great-grandfathers attestation paper for joining the Canadian Expeditionary Force. For "What unit or militia do you belong?", it lists 13th O.M.R. I can't seem to find any reference to this unit.
Anybody have any ideas?
Here's a link to see it:

Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg
As he was living in Alberta it may be a mistake for the Alberta Mounted Rifles. There was an Ontario Mounted Rifles as well. The nearest record office to Medicine Hat may be the best place to ask.

Ken - I looked into both those units, but I don't think either of them were using those names in 1916 when he joined.
Ady - I posted on the website you suggested, they think it might actually be the 13th CMR, but I don't see his name on their nominal roll.
I've requested his service records, I think I'll have to wait until I see them to find out for sure.
Thank you both for your help,
Greg
