Could anybody help please? I'd like to know what the name is below "Elizabeth". This is from the 1841 census in Poplar, the head of the household has the surname Smith, but I can't work out what his first name is. I'm uncertain if the first character is a flourish from the "z" above it. I'm presuming the name underneath is Tabitha, please correct me if I'm wrong. And what does the writing to the side say?
I'd be really grateful for any suggestions, I've been looking at this off and on for several days and am still no clearer!

The column to the right of the male/female ages is the occupation ... so it looks like 'Smith' ... i.e. blacksmith ??
Can you give the ref for this page please, so we can have a look at the whole page ?

The occupation is definitely 'Smith'.
I think the name is Gge (i.e. George) Smith.

The same family are also in Poplar in 1851.
The head of the household is George Smith, a blacksmith.
His wife is called Tabitha.

Hi, thanks all for the suggestions. It does look like George! Why couldn't I see that before?!
The ref I have is from Ancestry- HO107/702, Book 11, Folio 47.
It's probably not who I was searching for then, I've been looking for ages for John Charles Smith, born 1839, Poplar son of John James Smith occupation blacksmith. That's the closest I've been to finding him! Not to worry, I shall continue searching. Thanks for all your help!

John Smith = needle in a haystack, or ten a penny !!
Good luck ... you'll need it !

Haha thank you! I know, it's been about 6 years now, I thought it would be easier with them both having middle names but it's double the searching!
