Just a curious thought.

A HENDERSON family arrived in VIC in 1841 on the ship Frankfield.  Some early immigrants gave children the name of the ship on which they arrived in the Colonies!

Perhaps someone can check VIC birth records for you?

Hello Cando  and Essie thank you so much for this information i am sorry i havent been able to get back to you until now

my dads name is Frankfield  he was named after the ship they came out on.

Frankfield had a brother that apparently served in ww1 in Eygpt. I was told he came home from the war but i dont know much about him.

until 2 years ago my uncle Geoff was living at 64 Bondi street and it was his parents house which was left to him.

Essie i will check out the link u sent me now.  do i need ancestry to see it?

thank u both so much.

my grandmother passed away and her funeral is tomorrow.  you have given me a gift for my father i am now able to tell him where he came from so to speak.. many thanks ``

Also Cando  in December last year before my uncle geoff passed away he told me that his dad had a grocer shop in perth.
all this is really amazing. some of this information is coming back to me. i am going to ring my dad in a minute and tell him whats going on.

question  was his name Frankfield James or James Frankfield? its soo confusing.

My condolences AussieMumwif4kids on the death of your grandmother.

No, you don't need Ancestry to see the link.

Online burial records in WA have your man named as James Frankfield as have other researchers of the HENDERSON family.
http://www.mcb.wa.gov.au/NameSearch/search.php

Apparently . . .  James and Arthur were two of eleven children, and the eldest son was also named James but he lived only a few days.

I only mention certificates as all research is speculative until validated. ;D

Yes certificate can be expensive, especially in Western Australia.  You are fortunate that you have a relative sharing your research. :)

Good luck with your research and don't hesitate to ask if you need further help.

Who is James HENDERSON?

What year was he born and who were his parents?

You need to give us all the information you have about a person as we don't wish to spend time searching for information known to you.

Passengers listed on the FRANKFELD included Joseph his wife Mary and infant James from Co Tyrone, Ireland.  James was born 1841 not 1843.  There is baptism record on Vic BDM 1843 at the Presbyterian Church, Melbourne.

Hi Tracey,
I am descended from James Frankfield's uncle, John Henderson.  His father James and my John were sons of Joseph Henderson (Co Down, Ireland) & Mary Jane Rennie (Co Tyrone, Ireland).  Joseph was the son of Joseph Henderson & Martha Hamilton who migrated, with most of Joesph's siblings, to the USA.
I have been tracing the Henderson family for many years and have quite a bit of information about the family both in Australia and in the USA.  I would love to share.

Cheers,
Andrea Fitzgerald
