Hello,
On behalf of a friend I am trying to find out whether Longbrooks farm is still a working farm in Brenchley. He believes that some family members of his by the name of Clark either owned, ran or worked at the farm in the early 1940's.
Any information about the farm or family would be most gratefully received.

I googled it and found this

Thank you for getting back to me Liz. :)
It looks as though the farm site is now home to some small industrial units.
I would still welcome any information about the Clark family who lived there in the 1940's and possibly in the early 1950's as well.

All now sorted. Thanks to all who tried to help.

Hello
I realise that this request has been completed, nevertheless, you may be interested to know that Longbrooks Farm was once owned by the Bridgland family. I used to stay there with the family in the late 1950's. I can put you in touch with them if you wish as I remember the name Clark when I was there all those years ago.

This reply is also rather a long time after the initial query, but I am a newcomer to this forum and have just seen it. Hoping this reply might be useful to someone!
My great grandparents (Samuel and Isobel Elphick) and grandmother, also lived at Longbrooks Farm Brenchley from at least 1911 until at least 1923. Samuel Elphick was Farm Bailiff there in 1911. His son Frank Elphick (1903-1966) worked at Longbrooks farm from 1903 to 1963. My Mum spent many happy years there in the 1920s, visiting her grandad Samuel and Aunt Cicely.

Hello Bubblesbeautiful and welcome to RootsChat.
Many people on here are happy to research for others, even if not related to the family. If you are having trouble with finding any information it might be best to start a new thread and ask for help. :D

Just a wild guess - is he Frank CLARK (born c1877, Lamberhurst) who appears on the 1911 census at Brenchley in the house of John KEMP, with wife Ellen (nee KEMP)?
Frank CLARK married Eleanor KEMP registered at Tonbridge, Mar qtr 1907.
