I have Bennetts in my line from Australia.
The furthest I can go back is James Bennett but havent been able to find where he was born. Im assuming England as almost everyone was born there that came here!
I can put his birth somewhere around 1820ish? He married Harriett Brock who came from Chichester Sussex and lived in South Australia. There are generations of Bennetts from these two. If you have a James Bennett who came to Australia (or any other Bennetts) please contact me as I have a fair bit of information to share if theyre the same line!

Ihave bennetts -
Jospeh Bennett (1830-1900) came to Victoria in 1840's (probably) and thence to NSW for the Gold. His parents were Joseph and Mary Anne. He was from Chacewater Cornwall. He married Mary Anne Mitchell in Sydney in 1853.
I don't know the UK well enough to know if that's anywhere near where you're looking but this is the first time I've seen a Bennett posting that was even vaguely relevent so I had to respond.

Hi Kim, I dont have a Joseph Bennett in my tree so far. Doesnt mean there isnt one yet! I dont know where my Bennetts come from unfortunately - I can only guess its from the UK. I have been given a very large yet unfinished book to do with my family tree, Im yet to go right into the Bennetts, they arent a direct link to me, but in my tree nonetheless. I shall try my best to scour it for any of the names you have mentioned and get back to you soon. Keep ya fingers crossed!

Gidday, I Have some Bennett's in my Family tree which are as follows:
John Bennett, born 1816 Westminster London.
Married: 1849 Buninyong, Victoria, Australia.
Died: 21 Dec 1862 Buninyong, Vic.
Jane Logon, born 1826 Edinburgh.
Children were:
Caroline Maria, Peter George, James Alfred, Maria, and Fanny Jane Theresa all born in Oz.

Unfortunately I dont have anyone of those names in my tree so far. As I mentioned in an earlier message, I have a very thick family history book im yet to go through all of it. There may well be the folks you have mentioned, just I havent found them yet! Ive been concentrating on other lines..
Dont give up hope just yet! I will let you know if I have anything that matches!

Hello oddities, I too have Bennett's in Australia decendant from Westminster.
William Frederick bennett born somptin married Martha Berry.
Their son William frederick bennett born 1803, Westminster.
He married Eliza Marks. Their son Frederick bennett born Westminster 1833 moved to Geelong.
