There is North Sunderland (small town) that is in Northumberland now, Sunderland (big city) is in Co. Durham--or Tyne and Wear now.

Hi Janeann,

The only Sunnybrow that I can find is in Willington parish in the heart of County Durham which makes the City of Sunderland more likely than the village near Bamburgh.

What was it that made you think that the Sunderland you wanted was in Northumberland?

You could search for his death certificate.  Did he have a middle name?

Please see the other threads on this person which I listed here http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=750760.msg5989578#msg5989578 on which various suggestions about death certificates have already been made

janeann, please don't reply on this thread, please reply on your newest one, otherwise we will have more than one thread running on the same person and things will get too complicated  :)
